Question: Dancers: I know this is a lot to ask, but I'd really appreciate it :] !?
I've never done a solo before, I've always done team routines!. But now I'm doing something called Junior Miss and for my talent I was going to do a solo routine to Apologize by One Republic!. However, I have no idea how to go about choreographing this!!
If you have any videos that you could send me from youtube through a link to give me ideas I would really appreciate it!. Or if you could just give me ideas as to what I should include, I would be grateful to for that too!.
Thanks so much!! :DWww@QuestionHome@Com

Well when I start choreographing a song I always play like a little snippet of it!. Maybe the first 30 seconds or less!. Then I just start dancing!. I listen to the music and let it all go!. It sounds really weird but it gets you mind flowing!. All the sudden when you start it hits you like BAM! you have brilliant ideas for your dance!
Good luck! :DWww@QuestionHome@Com

im having the same problem coming up for a solo i need to try out with for my schools dance team!. what really helps is having some friends come over and just listen to the song over and over and feel the music!. youtube videos really help you out to just to get a concept of what you would like to do!. hope this helps, good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

what you need to do is see how many eight counts in the song which is 47 give or take and then set a few moves for each eight count (write them down with the number of the eight count next to it for example:

1:shaune step pa de boure L outside turn step R inside turn
2:bal change batma step switch leap

be sure to add side notes if posibleWww@QuestionHome@Com
