My best step was always pirouettes so I can share my technique if you like!. I can't stress enough how important posture is, if you can't releve and stay on the spot instantly for at least ten seconds then you need to work on your posture!. I taught my girls to put their hand just below their ribs on the diaphragm and then feel like they are lifting their ribs up and over their hand a little- you might be surprised at how well this little trick works!. The secret it to maintain it!.
Most people pirouette with their weight too far back and can't manage more than a double- you need to be fully over the ball of your foot and the turn out of your knee if useful to think of following it around the turn!. (for a pirouette en dehors)
Another important aspect that is overlooked it spotting (where you whip your head back to the front) If you are on balance and you have lost motion in the turn you can use your head to crank out another turn if you use it well enough!.
I can do seven pirouettes

fouettes: Get your teacher to show you the basics- The arms are just third, seconde, first, in time with your leg being devant second and pirouette position!. Try not to drop the arm that isn't moving from third to seconde- the one that stays in seconde for two beats!. I tend to do that and it really puts me off balance!.
Use the strength of your turn out to help you turn- feel like your knee is pulling you around!. and use your head to spot!Www@QuestionHome@Com

to do a double or more!.!.
you need to use a lot of

plie and push!.

then once you take of to turn you
lock(tighten) the leg that is not in the passe!.

tighten your stomach muscles and pull up!

pull up as if you have a string at the top of your head anx someone
is pulling the string up!.
good tall posture !.

as long as all that is good!. you should be fine doing multiple turns!.
try just practicing that with singles then work your way up
and DONT FORGET TO SPOT and focus!

hope that helps!. and yes not only what i told you above,
but also practice what you learn!.

and to turn on bare feet you must work up your calus
yea its ugly but it helps you turn better!.

try it!. it will hurt at first but once you get some it should be easier!.

fouette turns!.!.

well those you will have to go to a bar and stand in first!.
then place your hand on the bar!.

1!. the leg not close to the bar will be lifted up in front of
you to a botma (note not spelled right but thats how it sounds)
while plie-ing the leg closer to the bar

2!. then pull the leg that is in front of you to the side
while the leg close to the bar will eleve

3!.then pull to a passe(still in eleve)

4!.repeat!.

that will build your leg muscles so you get used to the odd postions of the fouette!.!.

i hope this is specific enough!.
its hard to teach over the internet!. haha!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well it takes a lot of practice!. You have to remember to spot, and keep you r body in line!. If you don't you wouldn't be able to get all the way around!. Basically I did them over and over again until I finally got them right!.

As for the fouette turns, try this link: http://www!.youtube!.com/watch!?v=ME1EShO98!.!.!.

you have to remember to go up on demi when you kick your leg out and back down when you bring it in!. They are hard at first, but they get easier!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

just look at something and spot it and flick your head around! what i think is its either some really cute guy i know or somethin! lol! I learned doing mine by just turning continuously and spotting a neon sticky note, but also to turn quicker demi plei(!?) and then come up to turn the more momentum the faster and longer you can turn! well hope that helps adios'!Www@QuestionHome@Com

when you swing your arms around do it harder to get you around but not to hard or you'll fall back and make sure you don't lean back or forward or you'll fall out of it!. your standing leg must be straight and on your toe!. and i was wonder the same with feet and fouettesWww@QuestionHome@Com

I think that balance is most important ( u can practice at the barre first )!.!.!.!.n u can use ur arms to make u turn faster so u can complete more than one turn!.spotting is important too!. And another reminder , take a deep breath before u turn to give u a much better preparation n balance!. Hope this helps !Www@QuestionHome@Com

your teachers will be able to help!.!.!. keep your abs strong and your arms in front of your chest!. they'll help you balance!. you probably don't want to hear this, but it really is all about practice:)Www@QuestionHome@Com
