Question: How can i improve my centre splits!?
It feels like it's impossible, every time I try i feel like my thigh bones are going to pop out of their sockets, which makes it very painful!
So anybody got any tips that might be able to help me get further down!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Always warm up before you try stretching your center split!. The warmer your body is, the easier it is for your muscles to relax and stretch!. When you're just starting to work on your center split NEVER force it, I have heard far too many stories of people dislocating hips and tearing muscles because they were forcing their center split!. You want to push your limits a little every day, but when you're just starting off forcing it will generally lead to undue pain!.

As for exercises, lunges, left/right splits, and straddle jumps are excellent ways to loosen your hips!. Try lying on your back with your butt against a wall and just letting your legs hang to the sides for a few minutes; just remember to roll out of this position, don't use your legs to get out of it!. And always remember that your knees always point toward the top of your pelvis, so when you're straddling on the ground your legs stay turned out and your knees always point up!. Once you get your center split to the point that you can rotate your pelvis and lay face-down on the ground, your knees will still point toward the top of your pelvis!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Can you do side splits!?
If you can't try doing them first as some people find side splits a lot easier!. (including myself)
Centre Splits:
1!. Try doing turnout exercises such as plies to improve the flexibility of your hips!.
2!. Practice doing straddle jumps as they will help!.
3!. Do lunges
4!. When attempting to do centre splits bouce up and down when you reach as far as you can go!.
5!. Practice daily and you will gradually become further down in them!.
REMEMBER: Splits won't come over night so keep practicing

You can sit with your feet in front of you touching sole to sole, then push down hard on you're knees and try and touch the floor with them!.

If they don't touch the floor, bounce down on them with your hands and they should get further!. keep doing this and the side splits should become easier!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First make sure you don't have a flexibility problem!. My sister stretched for years to get hurt splits, later she found it was impossible for her body!.

1!. stretch/workout that area as many times a day as possible!.
