Question: What is this samba move called and how to do it!? (see video link)!?
It kind of looks like a lock step from cha-cha except there's a lot more shimmy/shake hip motion going on, and it's not as tightly "locked"!.

Please tell me what the name of this move is, and how-to perform it!

It's the move at 4!.20 performed by the girl!.

It's called a batucada, but I can't really explain how to do it!. It's a very hard move to perform properly, and in order to get it, you really have to be shown it by someone, otherwise you can't really understand how to do it properly!. The movement shouldn't really be in the hips, it's really more of an entire body movement!. But, like I said, you really have to see it to learn it properly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If I'm not wrong its a batucada, but I may be mistaken - the quality of the video isn't very good so it's a little blurry!.

One can't exactly teach dance moves through word of mouth, so maybe its best to try and get some instructional videos or help from others personally!. But you are right - it is something like a lock-step, just with an extra hip tilt or two, so to speak!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
