Question: How do be able to do the splits again!?
im 13 and trying out for our dance team in high school!.!.!.!. i need to be able to do the splits
i was in gymnastics for seven years but quit a couple years ago and now i cant reely do them anymore
if any1 has any suggestions other than just stretching everyday that would be great!.!.!.?Www@QuestionHome@Com

My dance teacher told me that you can get the splits in 2 weeks!.

This is what she told us to do:

*Stretch first!.
*Hold each split for about a minute!.
*Do this every night before you go to bed and you should have it!

PS: This really works!.!.!.I know a lot of people who got the splits like that!.

Well since you obviously know that you have to stretch everyday, I will say that stretching for like 5 minutes ANYTIME after your muscles are warm will help too! So if you just did a lot of walking (ex: walking home from school) and have a spare 5 minutes, do the left side, the right side, and then the center, and hold each for like a 1 minute or so!. You can also do this after taking a shower if you take warm showers because my muscles are more limber after showers!. And most people aren't flexible in the morning, but it feels good to me to stretch in the morning, and when I do, stretching later on in the day isn't as much of a task, I get stretched out easier!.

this is what my sister told all her girls and their splits are all either greatly improved or completely down:

if you hold your split for 1 minute everyday for a week, by the end of the week your split will be 1 inch closer to the ground!. 2 min/day=2 in/wk!. etc!.!.!.
(if you hold it for 2 min in the AM and 2 min in the PM that would count for 4 min/day=4 in/wk)

Honestly, i know you said not to mention stretching every day, but thats really the only way! To stretch stretch stretch and stretch! If you are watching TV, stretch!. Put on some of your favorite songs, and just sing along to them while you stretch, i guaranty it will take away some of the pain!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

LOL well you have to of course stretch! I just sit there watching TV every day after school and eventually I get down, thanks to gravity! Www@QuestionHome@Com
