well i'm not a professional dancer but it's good to have an interest in what you're doing when you first start!.
and be dedicated!.
and just cos you don't get something the first time (or first few times) you learn it doesn't mean you give up!. try and try and you can get the teacher or a friend to help you out if you want, you'll get it in the end!.
practice!. don't leave the class and forget all about what you learnt in there, if not it's quite hard to recall the steps!.

oh yeah!. stretch before dancing so you don't pull a muscle or something!. simple stretching exercises will do!.

well it actually depends on what dance you are doing i am 12 years old and after 8 years of doing ballet i have realised you just need to relax and go with the flo if you do that you will look very elegant but when you are all stiff and you are doing ballet you will look something out of the thriller dance but when i starts hip-hop (well street dance) three years ago i would sometimes look really weird because i will be all stiff during ballet and prancing about in hip-hop (street) but i broke that habit ages ago!.

tip number two go for the dance that suits you if you want to do a dance like ballet because it sounds cool but you are really a lindy hop kind of person go for the lindy hop so go to the dance that YOU are happy with

and finally tip number three when you choreograph make sure you have the right dynamics don't make something slow when your dance is supposed to be jumpy and jazzy

i hope i helped and good luck with your dancing futureWww@QuestionHome@Com

I'm not a proffecional but i've been dancing for 10 years and i'm only 13!. The advice i would give to you would be put your heart in it and if you mess up don't show just keep dancing and don't forget to smile! I hope you have funWww@QuestionHome@Com
