You WILL need, however, soft ballet slippers!. I wouldn't get the kind that a store like payless sells unless you're three years old!. They just won't hold up with intense dancing!. www!.discountdance!.com sells the soft slippers for around 13-20 dollars!. You have two options, canvas and leather!. I would reccomend canvas split sole slippers!. I think that leather is too sticky -at least for the floor i dance on- and full sole just isn't flattering at all!. You should go to a local dance store to buy shoes, ballet flats or slippers come in leather and canvas!.leather will last longer but I like canvas better!. As to your question, when my daughter was in ballet, she had both kinds!. The second pair you show were for rehearsal and the toe shoes were for when her learning was sophisticated enough to begin going on point!.Www@QuestionHome@Com if your a new dancer then you dont need the pointe shoes for a while (those you need to get at a dance store) you could get the regular ballet shoes at payless i guess, but i would shop around!.
