know what works best for me!?
i put the song on my ipod and listen to it with my eyes closed without distraction!.
in order to get the right emotion, you need to know what the emotion of the song is!.
feel the music when you listen and try to imagine the story!.

when you go to dance the song, think back on this!.
remember how you felt listening to the song and express that in your motions!.

hope i helped! :DWww@QuestionHome@Com

Forget the steps you learned, just listen to the music, feel the rhythm and move to the music!. Put whatever emotion the music makes you feel into each movement, then transfer all that to the choreography!. If you don't FEEL it then why bother dancing!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Instead of just doing the movements, dance as if you just lost a friend, or you got in a fight with a friend; depending on the song and movements!. Just really feel what you are doing and try to relate it to your life so that it looks more real!.

if its like a fast motion song like hip hop, just like bounce in like a rhythm with the song while doing the movements!. it makes you look like you have energy!. I dunno if this is what you were looking forWww@QuestionHome@Com

just listen to the words in the music and try to have them relate to you in a time of your life and dance out the emotion you felt!.

just it all come from the heart and dont think hard about it
