The concert performance may help your teacher determine your advancement!. Practice more to increase your strength!.

If you try pointe, make sure you are strong in basic ballet technique and that you take ballet at least two times a week! It's not about the shoes as much as your own strength in the muscles of your stomach, but and legs!. Plus you got to really concentrate about placement and lift your posture up!. So if you are ready - go for it!. What is your strength and preference: ballet or Jazz!. Can you do both!? I think if you are a good ballet dancer you can do ANYTHING!. BALLET is KING!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well wouldn't you have to do pre-pointe first!? And also when you get your pointe shoes, they are fitted to you so that they are comfortable and custom as possible, so the shape of your feet shouldn't be too much of a problem!. And I say that you should stick with jazz and move on to pointe!. They are both very intricate styles that I enjoy watching (especially pointe!!) And I myself am a dancer and love performing jazz!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
