Question: (BEST ANSWER) Can people who can't do the "splits" originally, learn it in the future!?
I was about 9-10 and my mum took me to ballet dances and I hated it!. The only thing I enjoyed was tap dancing, but I soon dropped out of it!. I've always wanted to learn how to do the splits, can people always learn it whey they are older and how!? How can I learn/practice!? XD

I've always been able to sing like my dad, but never dance like my younger sister, even though she can't do the splits!. I'd love to learn, if it was ever possible!. I can do basic moves and small handstands, I can't raise my legs fully in the air and if I did, I'd need to do it somewhere where it was safe!.

Where is the best place to learn how to do handstands and the more dangerous moves!?

I'm 16 years old now and would love to learn how to dance, so I can take my singing and then add dancing to it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, I'm 17 and I've been dancing for a long, long time but recently just joined a professional ballet school!. all the girls are much more flexible since they've been in the school for so long!.l i got a tip from one of my new friends!. she taught me a stretch for splits!. I'll try to explain it as easily as i can!.

sit on the floor with your right leg fully extended behind you as if you were in a split!.

now, with your left leg have it so that it is bent in front of you with your foot pretty close your hip!.

take your left foot and start to wiggle it, it should start to walk it self forward into a straight leg!. this will bring you into a split!.

hope this helps, i know it helped me!. do it after the shower when you're muscles are warm or before you go to sleep!.

as far as handstands- you need ab strength!. do handstands with your back facing the wall so you can prop yourself up!. once you build strength in your arms and abs start to walk your hands away from the wall and balance in a hand stand!.

well im 12 and i can jump and land in the splits
all you have to do is keep practicing your spilts as far as you can go down
stretch alot ! so you can become more flexible
it takes a while but soon you can sit in the splits without feeling pain!.
try challenging your self and go do the spilts as good as you possibly can and stay there for at least 2 minutes

first of all, to do splits, just stretch A LOT and you will get them!. (just dont push TOO hard, u can hurt urself) take gymnastics or acro to do the "dangerous" moves, NEVER try it alone!

Stretch your splits everyday and you should have them in 2-3 weeks!.

Most people don't have their splits and they have danced their whole life so don't worry!
