Find an adult beginners class, rather than a childrens class!.

Start getting healthy now - you need to be as fit as you can for your operation and recovery; and it will be easier to exercise afterwards if your body is already used to it!. If you have to wait until the start of term to begin ballet, go swimming or gym training two or three times a week in the meantime!.

Good luck with the op; I'm sure it will go well, and if you watch your calorie intake and nutritional balance like a hawk, I'm sure you can control your weight; your body doesn't make calories out of nothing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Definitely not!. If it would make you feel more comfortable, there are beginner "adult" classes offered at many studios, which you could probably take!. I'd recommend this since you haven't taken ballet before and you'd otherwise end up with little kids!. In the adult classes, you'll find anyone from college age to much older!. They're usually more relaxed, too!. I've taken a few and they're a lot of fun!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sure!.

I went with my girlfriend one time to her classes, which she had 3 different of, and there were all sorts of ages in the class, (she herself was 19), all the way to adults!.
