it really depends on how many hours a week you take ballet could affect on how well your technique is!. The average is no sooner than 5 years of taking ballet at least once a week!.
If you do them too soon not only could you damage ur feet but you could also hurt your ankles!.

pointe shoes could range from $30 to $100 depends on the brand and quality!.

to make sure your arch develops faster you could do this exercise:
put a tissue on the floor and pick it up with your toes!.it makes your feet point harder and then if you repeat this you would have a perfect arch!.

** you should wait untill your ballet teacher thinks your ready**

It depends on how dedicated a dancer you are, but even if you are the most dedicated out there, you need time to a) master the technique that you will do while on pointe and b) strengthen your ankles to hold all of your body weight!.

If you are completely on track and taking a bunch of classes, you can do this in two years!. Usually girls that dance their entire like go en pointe around 11 or 12!.

If you dance in them too soon, you can definatly damage your feet and ankles because you dont have the strength to hold yourself up, and dont understand how you are supposed to use your pointe shoes!.

The shoes usually cost around $50, depending on the brand you get!.

Some tips are releves, and lots of them! A releve is going from flat, to on your "tippy toes" making sure that you go straight up, and dont rock back and foroth!. Doing this all the time will give you strong strong strong ankles in no time!.

It is very dangerous to go on pointe before a teacher says you are ready, and without the instruction of a dance teacher!. They understand where you feet and legs are supposed to be, and if they arent there, you could develope bad habits, as well as damage your feet and ankles!.

Hope this helps! Www@QuestionHome@Com

My teacher doesnt let anybody on pointe until they are 13 b/c you're not fully developed yet!. Your ankles have to be strong as well!. I took ballet for 2 years before i was allowed on pointe this year so I would talk to your teacher b/c its all up to her!. If you dont go to a studio i wouldnt buy shoes because you cud definatly hurt yourself really bad!. It depends on each person how fast they learn!. My teacher told me i was a natural and some other girls in the class are still at the barre!. Good luck and talk to ur teacher!! =]Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm assuming that you are currently taking ballet!. You should not be on toe shoes before the age of fourteen, because your skeleton is still growing a lot!. Going on them too soon will cause damage to your feet, ankles, knees and hip joints!. It generally takes about 2 years to learn to en pointe ballet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You should bring these questions to your teacher!. And if you don't have one, I don't suggest starting pointe on your own!. You need an experienced person to critique what you're doing, particularly your alignment, or, as other people have said, there is a real danger of injuring yourself!. Starting pointe also depends a lot on how good your technique is!. I once read somewhere that you should certainly be able to do a grande pliƩ in the center without wobbling!. also, your ankles need to be quite strong!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

if you don't have correct placement of feet, ankles, knees, hips!.!.!.then you can permanently injure yourself!. also, if you do not have good training, you can injure yourself!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
