you new pointe shoes hurt more because they are much harder and not broken it because theyre new!.

pointe shoes are made of pappier mache and when you were them more often they get weaker and weaker so they get softer and easier to wear!.

you habve to breack them in to get them softer!.
you can also try banging the shoes onto the ground and wetting the insides only a little!. (it might discloour the outside if you wet them) but all the professionals wet them so they dont hurt as much
when i first got mine i kept in my water bottle bag anbd my bottle spilt and my shoes were soaking!. after i dried them they dont hurt one bit and i dont even were padding!. so yeah!. you yjust gotta breack them in allittle!.

this website brecks your shoes in:

As the other answers said, new shoes are always more painful than old ones!. the glue, cardboard and burlap that make up conventional pointe shoes break down with sweat and use!. often it's quite a shock when wearing new ones at how different it feels!.

I wear pointe shoes a lot at my studio and go through quite a few pairs, so I'll tell you how I break in my shoes so that they're tolorable:
First I manipulate the shank, bending it ( gently! I once snapped a shank by being careless) so that the shank bends more easily!. Then I put them on ( having sewn the elastics on already) Then I do releves, really working the demi pointe position!. Then I take them off, and wetting a cotton ball with rubbing alcohal I rub it on the inside of the shoe are the top of the vamp and bunion area so that it doesn't dig in and demi pointe is easier!. then I take the shoe and find me a driveway and bang the heck out of the box for about 30 seconds!. Then I usually cut away the satin at the tip of the shoe!.

Hope this helps - and It will get better!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've been dancing en pointe for a couple of years now, and SORRY but there is not much you can do except to beak them in!. Practice a lot and eventually you're feet will toughen u and get used to them, and the shoes will start to soften up!. Ballet = pain lol :P

new things are changes, changes are different and they can hurt sometimes!. anything new, you have to break into i would give it like anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 and a half months!. It deppends on how long it takes you to get accoustumed to something new :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

you probably just havent broken them in fully yet!.
Get them started, then see how they work!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
