Question: Should I become a dancer or not!?
I am 17 nearly 18!. I am wondering if I should continue my dancing or move to something completely different!. I have been overseas dancing fulltime (ballet and contemporary) for 3 years!. I have a blind eye which wil stop me getting into some companies!. When I get on stage I nearly always dance worse than in the studio due to nerves!. I am very passionate about dancing and have danced since I was 3 years old!. Dad has already spent heaps on me so he's only giving me one more year of practise then I have to audition for companies but it may not be enough time!. Dancers get bad pay also!. But it's my passion!. I'm not sure if I'll ever be good enough for a company!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If your passionate about i think you should continue to pursue it!. The way you talk about it shows how much you care!. I'm sure you can do it!. If you have the same passion for dance as i do then go for it!. Dance is one thing that you can express yourself no matter what your feeling and you'd most likely regret it if you gave it up!.So you might have to work a little harder!.!.!.!. but it'll be worth it in the long run = ]Www@QuestionHome@Com

i absolutly love dancing too!. especially contemporary!. if its your passion, go for it!. dont worry about nerves and what people will say, the audience probably couldnt do half the things a dancer does, and your probably a great dancer! but remember you also have to make a living!. give dancing your all for the moment if you really love it, but make sure your options are still open!. You can become better!. But if you can be good enough - you only can know by trying it!.

You can work hard, find out HOW to develop as a dancer!. Only you can make it happen, but it will take time!.

If you stop dancing, ask yourself: will I accept this decision later, when I am older, when it is too late to become a dancer!. Is there something else I would like to do in my life!? Or will I regret giving up my passion!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

You may have to find ways to get around your limitations (such as creating your OWN dance troupe or working with someone exceptional who can see your passion past your issues!. I am sure if you apply yourself diligently your dad will see his way to helping you longer, although he may ask you to contribute partly to your expenses!.

Always stick with what you love!. Don't let anything stand in your way!. Vive La Dance!Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes you should definitely go for it! the only way to get better is to keep on practising!. find a company that likes you and don't do it if you don't like the company!.
i think you should have a back-up job as well so you have something to do when you retire or if you think that dancing's not for you!. i hope that you keep going with your dancing!. go for your dream!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
