the name for those shoes are "Pointe Shoes"
when you first gone on them, very first time, you don't feel anything in the first minute or so!.
but then the pain starts!.
your feet will have a burning sensation and it hurts a lot
eventually your feet will get stronger muscles and it won't hurt quite as much, but it still hurts a lot Www@QuestionHome@Com

if your worried about breaking in flat ballet shoes, get cloth ones they are the easiest to break in and are very comfortable!.

ballet is very fun, and challenging!.!.!.the more you work on it the better you will get and the more rewarding it will be!. Ballet is the basis of all dance, so it is absolutely a great technique to have under your belt

You probably won't be able to start wearing pointe shoes until a few years later, first you have to start with ballet flats!. AFter your ankles are really strong you can get pointe shoes!. I'm on pointe and it doesn't hurt me that much because you wear toepads, but after a few hours of reherasal's your feet will be aching!. Hope this helped!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

well the soft shoes you would start out with don't hurt at all!. I find them to be very comfortable (if you get the right size!)

pointe shoes!? that's a totally different story!. They hurt like heck for a long time!. I've been en pointe for 6 years out of my 12 years of dancing and they still hurt!. But it's a lot of fun and totally worth it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

you won't start with the ones with the hard toes until you learn the proper techniues!.!.but the ones you will start with won't hurt!.!.ballet is very challenging to begin with but once you have the hang of it it becomes easier and yes it is very fun!.!.well i like it anyway =]Www@QuestionHome@Com

if you are just wearing the technique shoes no, and since it sounds like you have never done ballet before, those would be what you would wear!. ballet is really hard and challenging if you have a good teacher, but fun too, i know i love it :)good luckWww@QuestionHome@Com

Ballet shoes are SO comfortable!. They feel almost like slippers haha!.
