Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
the awards that are given out at competitions all depend on the particular competition!.
in general, the ranking goes like this:
platinum/high gold
gold
high silver
silver
high bronze
bronze
honorable mention
A platinum is usually reserved only for the best dances at the competition!. A gold award is amazing, especially for your first competition!. It is important to remember that even though you are in categories and sometimes they will rank the dances in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc!., you are really competing against yourself for the highest award!. There are tons of special awards for costumes and personality too, so be sure to have a lot of fun with your dances and enjoy it!
Good luck I'm sure you'll do great(:Www@QuestionHome@Com
It changes from competition to competition but usually it goes:
Platinium
High Gold
Gold
High Silver
Silver
Bronze
Honorable Mention
OR
1st Place
2nd Place
3rd Place
Usually the 1,2,3 places are for overall (who had the best score) in a certain age group or, category of dance!.
There are also lots of other awards like "Best Choreography" "Best Costume" etc!.!.!.
If you want to really find out more about it go to the competiton's website they have very detailed information about those kinds of things!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
