Do some high schools only have homecoming dance for juniors and seniors?

Question: Do some high schools only have homecoming dance for juniors and seniors!?

ok so my scool's homecoming is this saturday and i heard over the PA annouoncementts after last period that juniors and seniors should go to the main office to get homecoming dance admission tickets!. they didn't say anything about sophmores and freshman though!. what does this mean!?

At my school everyone said you had to be invited be a jr or senior!. But we found out the whole school could go!.
All four grades went!.
