Since homecoming is usually formal, you'll definitely want to wear a tux (with a jacket, of course)!. And once you find out what color of dress your date is wearing, you two should coordinate colors so that you match!. (Most guys just wear a tie that matches their date's dress color)!. also, once you two figure out what you're wearing, get matching flowers (corsage for the girl, boutonniere for you - but you'll only have to buy her's, and make sure you both know you're doing flowers if you do!.) White is always safe, though, so if you're unsure about what to get her, go for that!. Oh, and when she gets to your house or you to her's, your parents will both want to take loads of pictures, so be ready for that!

also, make sure to make dinner reservations! Do this at the very least a week in advance, and make sure the place you're eating at isn't too romantic, but also not fast-food!. Just somewhere close to your high school that you know she'll like!. Or, if the thought of eating with just one other girl makes you uncomfortable, go with a group of people! Get a bunch of your friends and their dates and coordinate something!. It's usually more fun with lots of people anyway!. (Two-four other couples is usually a good number)!. (But if you're good at cooking, why not make her dinner yourself!? It would save money, and it's really cute!) Oh, and be prepared to pay for you AND your date, and extra if you want to get professional pictures at the dance :)

Make sure to plan out what car(s) you'll be taking as well!. Will you drive!? Will your friends drive!? Will your parents!? Make sure it's all figured out beforehand, or it'll be annoying if you have to figure it out last-minute!.

One last thing: remember to have fun! This isn't a committment, and you're not obligated to dance with only your date!. also, relax!. Girls don't like dancing with guys who aren't into it or are uptight!.

Check your homecoming brochure to see if it is formal or semi-formal!. They are usually semi-formal!. Formal means wear a jacket-tux and if semi-formal wear black slacks, a dress shirt black or white and dress shoes for both and your tie should match her dress!.

also you need to get her a corsage!. They have pin on ones and wrist ones!. Just get a wrist one those are most popular!. It will cost you 10 dollars and more!. You should not have to pay more than 25!.00!.

Communicate with her the plans!. Usually friend groups will get together at someones host house and the parents will all go there and take pictures!. Sometimes all the kids will go from there out to eat at a restaurant before the dance!. Othertimes they will all pitch in for a lighted party limo and drive around before the dance If you are not in a group and I assume you dont drive, then your parents take you over to her house and they will take pictures and should share those with you!. Then your parents take you to the dance but I would thinking going out to a restaurant beforehand would be nice!.

Wear a nice cologne, breath mints are nice, open doors and be a gentleman, do not dance with other girls (makes your date look bad)!.

Mostly just communicate with the girl all the plans because girls like a leader!.

also dont make a big worry about the dance!. Mostly the girls all gossip and talk and dance together and the guys talk on the side together and then they all dance in groups together and the dancing comes naturnal, you dont have to know how to dance good!.
