Don't worry, you'll be fine!. Just listen well to your teacher's instructions!. Remember, partnering is a "partnership"!. Be there for eachother, trust eachother, and always make eye contact with eachother!. Don't rush anything, but also commit yourself to the choreography, if you don't then insecurity sets in and then fear!. Always pull your body up, especially in pirouettes and ESPECIALLY in lifts!. The moment you let go of your body out of fear, the less the guy can do to help you!. Hold yourself up and he can do the rest!. Go for it, the more you practice it, the more fun it becomes! Good luck !Www@QuestionHome@Com

Having partnered many ballerinas, remember to jump into your lifts and not expect your partner to lift with no help!. Listen to your teacher and talk with your partner before the dance!. You cannot communicate enough - the trust between you and your partner has to be built and be complete!. Rehearse until you think your legs are going to fall off!. Good Luck - I'm sure you two will do just fine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i am only 13 and i am dancing a huge role with LOADS of partnering!. the girl i double cast with is older and has done loads of partnering in Milwaukee Ballet school, and i have only done promenades and stuff!. So when we started the lifts, i was kinda bad at it!. But when u are dancing, the best thing is to NOT BE SHY when u are about to do a big lift!. almost think of over doing it, and u will nail it!. i am already improving!. good luck, u will be great!Www@QuestionHome@Com

The most important key to successful partnering is trust!. If you trust the person who is supporting you you'll be fine!. You'll be nervous and that's okay, but don't let your body show it!. Your partner will depend on you being able to maintain form to keep you safe!. You said it's your teacher you're doing it with right!? He knows what he's doing!. You'll be fine!. He wouldn't do it if he wasn't sure of his skills!. Think less - Trust him - you'll be fine!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm 13, and you're right, the first time I tried it, a clinic this past summer, I was scared, and then I had to go and do kind of the same thing as you!. I was super nervous, but the main thing is to not be!. Lol- Trust your partner completely, and when he's about to lift your, really think of pulling up and feeling light, that really helps me!. I'm sure you'll do great, no worries!! :)Www@QuestionHome@Com
