Question: ANOTHER DANCE COLLEGE QUESTION HAHAHA!? HELP!?

Hi, In college i would like to major in dance but i was wondering in order to major in dance do you have to study all types of dance!? Because all i want to to is ballet and modern!. I have never taken jazz or tap or lyrical or hiphop or anything else!. Is it possible!? Will the audition require jazz dancing or any other type of dancing!?!?!? Www@QuestionHome@Com

one of my teachers goes to dean college as a dance major!. she does mostly ballet and modern and also some jazz!. i know those were her favorites though so that's what she took a lot of!. i also know there were required credits in tap and hip hop for her!. she'd never taken hip hop before going to college and she said she was just bad at/hated tap!. i'm gonna guess that you're required to take a certain amount of everything but can specialize in whatever you want!. i don't know about auditions!.

Eh well it really depends on the colleges requirments! try emailing some dance colleges and gettin information 4rm ppl and stuff but i do think it is god to have experience in all areas u no! ring the coolege and ask!.!.!. u could just take a few classes to just get a feel 4 it yano :P good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
