You mean, how long until it breaks!?

feasibly speaking, the poles are not integral to the structural support of the business establishment, so presumably you could in fact just break it and the place wouldn't crumble!.

Let's reconfigure the elements at play, shall we!?

Let's say the dance pole was not vertical, but horizontal - being held in place by some industrial machines or something!.

Now we have a force we can use to compare with different results, and that force is Gravity!.

Let's look at the dimensions of the pole - it's metallic, designed for continuous stress and pretty hardy, all things considered!.

A person would not be able to break the pole if they hit it with enough force and mass at the speeds with which gravity can accommodate for - not surprising, considering the use of gravity is actually integral to the use of the thing in the first place!.

So what could break it!?

Using Gravity as a force of propulsion, both the mass and the pole would be subject to certain physical laws that science is more or less founded on - the pole itself has a heavy mass because it's made of ultra-dense material!.

The densest thing in the human body is the bones!.

So let's start with something with similar mass to bone!.

Approaching the same mass, is wood - which still isn't enough to break the pole!.

Moving along, some bright spark tells us to try something of equal molecular complexity and see how that works - so we hit the pole with another pole!. The poles bend, but do not break!.

So we know that the only thing complex enough to reconfigure metal is more metal - or some ultra-dense rock!.

But say you want to BREAK it!.

To BREAK the pole, you'd need to use chemicals - first a corrosive and then a shockwave!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

depends on the type of pole and how its installed but I have seen some real big folks do their thing up high on a pole before!

its surprising just how nimble a hippo can be :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Our fire poles are the same, and we had a fireman that was 330 lbs!. He was a college football lineman and it held him!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Depends on how it was installed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it all depends on the structural support! it variesWww@QuestionHome@Com
