How thick(width wise thick) should the elastic be on pointe shoes....?

Question: How thick(width wise thick) should the elastic be on pointe shoes!.!.!.!.!?

I want to sew it on the inside of the heel, also can you take a wide elastic and cut it in half to make it a slimmer elastic!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

My teacher prefers that we have wide elastics!. They do sell thinner ones and i wouldn't suggest cutting a wide one in half because it will fray!. Ask your teacher and see what she thinks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i wouldn't cut them!.!.!.it might fray, i have quite wide elastic, as it gives more support!. why don't you buy both!.!.!.then if one doesn't work unpick it and try another!?
