Hi there, first off, you should know that it is never to late to start ballet and it is an amazing hobby!.

Physical:

-You become very physically fit!. Many people don't realize the jumps and leaps and turns need a lot of core, leg, and arm strength as well as lots of practise!.

-You become very flexible!. To do the jumps, leaps, kicks, splits, ect all need flexibility!. And even if you do not have the flexibility yet, you will!


Mental:

-You learn to manage time very well!. Depending on how many classes a week you take, you still learn how to manage your time so you can go to dance and still get homework done or other work!.

-You gain a lot of self-confidence, self-awareness, and appreciation for what your body can do!.


Emotional Advantages:
(though I am not exactally sure what you mean, I will try)

- You meet lots of new people, both good and bad!.

- Again, you become more confident!.

- And people who are in some sort of hobby, whether it be in dance or whatever, usually stay out of drugs and stuff because they are either too busy to worry about that sort of stuff, or don't want to mess up their health!.

From my experience, I am more graceful, relaxed, athletic, balanced, and can think more clearly and do great in school!. I can also dance to modern music and have rhythm!. I cannot express how important and beneficial ballet and dancing in general has been to my life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

physically, ballet keeps you toned and lean!. It lengthens your legs and strengthens your ankles which helps prevent ankle injuries in day to day life!. It corrects your posture which helps when walking and standing normally and so much more!

mentally, it helps you to relax and boosts your confidence altogether giving you a better outlook in life!.

emotionally, its a way to express yourself and you meet heaps of new people!

i know they want to stay healthy but a lot (not all) have bad eatting disorders and end up doing drugs, so not saying that like younger teens in ballet do this, im just saying the teachers i have heard make you lose more weight if you arent like a certain size!. literally call u out in the middle of everyone and say "you need to lose weight" and so u might get embarrased!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Learning ballet gives you the foundation for all other styles of dance!. The poise and grace you learn can carry over into your non-dancing life!. And there are many variations of Ballet!.

I have done ballet for over 15 years and I love it!. Physically I am very flexible, my body is toned, and I have a lot of muscle strength!. also I think it can be just as useful as yoga with helping to relax your mind and focus!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have so far done ballet for 7 1/2 years and still love it!. It is a great workout, keeps youfit and tone, provides flexibility, and is a great way to express yourself!. Ballet also gives you strenght and confidence!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
