no theres no difference!. Some dance studios try to make their name sound more professional with a more mature name!. Places that I have danced at are Higher Ground Dance, McCoy Rigby Dance Academy, The Dance Depot!. Like, The Dance Depot has more of a catchy name that you can remember!. McCoy Rigby Dance Academy sounds more professional!. And Higher Ground Dance is very plain!. But usually places that have 'academy or school' in it are more serious or dance training!.

well!. i have kinda been to both!.
a dance school and a dance academy are almost exactly the same!.
when i whent to a dance school, it was for the community like at the local library
when i go to my dance academy, they have performing group and you can compete, it is also kida based on talent and age!.
but there are dance academies that just call themselves dance schools, so they are pretty much the same!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There really isn't much of a difference at all!.

Yes, some academy's are stricter, but that is not always the case!.

Some schools just like to put academy after their name to sound more professional!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

dancer!!!! what you said is not exactly true!. Dance Academy's arent Dance Boarding Schools!. Yes, some are, but most, like my Dance Academy, are just stritcer dance studios!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sometimes, there really isn't a difference at all!. Academy may make them look stricter, but thats not all true!. There just two different names!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
