Question: Pointe Shoes! (I need help FAST!!!)!?
My feet grow pretty fast, and I have gone through 4 pointe shoes already! And I'm only 10!!! Will "Chacott Veronese 2" pointe shoes work for me!? also, are "Gellows" toe pads thick!? Cause my toes are sensitive, especially on shoes that have a wooden platform!. Can you also provide me info on think toe pads!?!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Firstly, everyone saying she is too young, please stop!. Yes, she is VERY young to be en pointe, but you do not know what kind of school she goes to!.

Now i'm talking to you!. If you go to a pre proffesional school where you take ballet class 5 or 6 days a week, it is possible that you may be ready for pointe!. At the RBS students go en pointe when they are 10 or 11!. At the Australian Ballet school its not until they are 12 or 13!. But please be careful!. I really hope you have a trustworthy teacher who knows what she is doing!. You could really be harming your body!. The fact that your feet grow so fast indicates you may not be ready!. Often teachers want pupils to have gone through their major growth spurt before pointe!.

Pointe shoes do not have a wooden platform!. NO pointe shoe has a wooden platform!.

No shoe is really going to stretch with your foot!. You'll have to keep buying them as your feet grow i guess!.

I use Ouch Pouch juniors!. They are not very thick, but boy do they work!Www@QuestionHome@Com

10 seems awfully young to be en pointe!. I'd wait a bit longer, but if you just can't wait, it's all a matter of testing the shoes yourself!.

Just as a warning, if your feet are still growing, you may want to wait to start point!. I come from a family of dancers and my mother went up early!. She now has a large lump on her foot where the bones kept breaking and, because of the strain of practice, never healed correctly!. She can't dance en pointe anymore for the same reason!. It may seem silly to wait, but you'll be dancing a lot longer and your body will be happier and healthier longer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yeah i am with those people, 10 is way too young 12 is the minimum age, my sis went up at 8 and screwed her foot up a ton!!! she can barely dance anything anymore without having to wear a brace on her ankle!. but if you cant not take it then i would suggest getting two pairs of toe pads for extra support if that's what you need!. i haven't heard anything about those pointe shoes, but i know that my feet grew like crazy at that age too!. i don't really have much suggestions other than that cause pointe shoes are some of the only shoes that dont stretch a little with your feetWww@QuestionHome@Com

The fact that you're on pointe at age 10 makes me cringe a bit!.!.!.

that's awfully young!.!.!. your feet aren't done growing yet and it could cause some problems!. Recommended age for pointe is AT LEAST 12!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

go try sum pointes on at a store!.
gellows arent too thick, and they take alot of the impact off your feet!.
and if ur only 10 u shouldnt be on pointe!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
