Question: I can't dance in hip hop class! !?
I am taking a hip hop class at a local gym!. I LOVE to dance freestyle but learning how to dance from a trainer in a hip hop class is really tough!. I cant memorize all the dance steps and I don't even do the moves correctly!. The trainer even told me that I have no rhythm!

However, I have attended belly dancing class and I got the hang of it without any problems and had no problems with the steps!. HELLPPPWww@QuestionHome@Com

focus on certain steps and get them memorized before moving to other steps, test out a set (a dance routine) with the moves and you'll eventually remember and get it, also if you like to freestyle just use the rhythm you use in freestyle and apply it to hip hop, what also helps is playing songs that you actually like and want to dance too it doesn't have to be certain types of music as long as it makes you want to dance and apply hip hop to that

you don't learn everything over-night same for breaking you have to practice like crazy and be patientWww@QuestionHome@Com

Honestly, you sound like you're over thinking in dance class!. If you spend all your time in class worrying about if you're doing this right, or stressing out because you can't a certain move perfectly, it'll lower your esteem and ruin the rest of the class for you!.

You just have to go in there, looking confident and relaxed!. Remember, everyone is there to learn and no one expects you to get every move perfectly right away!. Dancing takes a lot of practice!.

Just hang in there and relax, before you know it you'll be lighting up all the dancefloors!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
