Is an adult ballet student able to learn pointe?

Question: Is an adult ballet student able to learn pointe!?

I'm 20 and am interested in starting up ballet again after about five years without!. My eventual goal was to work my way up to pointe (for personal pleasure, nothing professional), but I wasn't sure if it was even possible!. Does anyone know, or have any insight!? Thanks :) Www@QuestionHome@Com

Absolutely! I'm 21 and en pointe!. I take a few different classes a week (for pleasure) and in one of my adult ballet classes, there is a 70 year old woman who just started en pointe! Www@QuestionHome@Com

I take dance ( im 11 though)!. I have teachers that are 30 that teach point!. If they can you certinely can! Just to let you know ballet uses alot of stomach and leg muccels!. So if you have any problems with your stomach or legs it isn't a good idea!. but if you don't, all the luck in the world to you!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, I think you definitely can! But you need to go reeeeeeeeeeally slowly, don't expect to be up for at least another three to five years!. Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
