ok so before you start ballet, you have to know that it isn't like what you did at school!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.believe me!.

i have beeen doing ballet for a long long time and when we did the ballet unit at school, it was no where near as strict, harsh or focused as the real thing!.

ballet changed my whole life, i started to watch my weight (even though i only weigh 120) and i started to gain so many bruises and cramps!.

you have to be dedicated to ballet and it is harder than you would ever think, even if your quick at picking up things!.

I'm not saying that you should not start ballet but i'm saying that since your 16, you have to take it more seriously and it will be harder for you than anyone else in the class!.

and remember, since you are just starting you are most likely to get put into a grade that has 9-13 year olds, so just be ready for that!.

good luck!!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

hey great idea!
ther's really no point starting ballet when yur a titchy little 3 yr old because you don't know what they're doing and you hav no strength!. starting later gives you the advantage of upper body strength and posture!. the only thing you'll find hard to develop your turnout and flexibilty, which is vital if you want to succeed in ballet!.
you should go for it anyway!
Best wishes! :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

it's gonna be a lot different than what you do in school!.
but, go for it! maybe talk to your dance teacher in school!?
we have a new girl in the 8-12's group which i help teach and she is my age(i'm 15)
some people naturally good at it and it just makes sense to them!.
if you have the right mentality and that you just want to learn and do it then you will be great
be prepared to be a bit behind, but you'll pick it up quickly if you put your mind to it!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think any age would be fine because it teaches you poise and movement!. It also teaches discipline and you will carry that with you the rest of your life!. Main thing is to have fun and enjoy the dance,!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's going to be hard and you're going to have to practice a lot!.!.!. but it is never too late to start something you enjoyWww@QuestionHome@Com
