Hip hop is more about the dancing!. There's fluidity and dynamics to the dance!. There are more intricacies and its about emoting expression whether it be aggression, anger, love, etc!.

Break dance is less about dance and more about the cool gravity-defying tricks!. Its really about brute strength and its all about getting the audience to say "wow! that's really cool! how do you do that!?" Break dance is less fluid and more about sticking poses (like freezes) -- as in, if you were to take a picture, you might not be able to figure out what hip hop dancers are doing and it won't necessarily look cool!. Break dancers look cool in pictures because they freeze and such!.
