Question: How to get your front leg up higher when doing switch leaps!?
When i try to do switch leaps my front leg barely leaves the ground! My back leg isn't as high as i want it but right now i'm just trying to get it decent looking!. I saw the youtube videos for "just for kix" teaching you how to do switch leaps but that didn't really help!. Any tips, exercises to help get my front leg higher off the ground!? Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

The key is in your strength and flexibility!. You have to have a lot of strength to swing your second leg through!. The best exercise to help with leaps of any kind is grand battement!. Kick your leg as high and as hard as you can without hurting yourself to help build muscle and flexibility, and control it on the way down for added muscle!. You can also try doing some sissones with the same type of thing - kick your leg as high and as hard as you can!. Hope that helps - good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
