Question: Help with arabesque penchée and needle (ponche) !!?
Ok, so i've been in dancing since i was about 3 or 4 , I'm 15 now!. iv done tap jazz ballet lyrical/contemporary and one year of pointe!. But I'm hardly flexible at all which is preventing me form moving to the next level of dance!. My upper body is pretty good, my back is pretty archy, but its really my legs, Iv been stretching A LOT the last few days and will continue to do so!. So right now I'm working on my arabesque penchée and needle (ponche) but I can't get my back leg straight into the air because its so inflexible!. Can somebody please give me some stretches to stretch my legs out!. I already know the ones like sit in a "V" and al of those ones but are there any to specifically help me with my arabesque penchée!?
Thanks!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Do gruesome stretch grab your ankle with your arm on the inside of your leg, and pull it up as high it can go properly to the front back or side!. then hold for 8 counts with your ankle in your hand then let go and hold for 8 counts then do a devolope!. For the back instead of holding your ankle , hold your knee it will go higher!.
Trust me these streaches help ALOT , my arabesque is almost to 180 they may hurt , but it really does help!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

do standing splits against a wall and ask your dance teacher or a friend to push your legs past what the wall did!. Good Luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
