There isnt really one type of pointe shoe that is best!. Everyone has different feet, so its really about what is best for your feet!. Do you have high arches!.!.do you have strong arches, wide feet, narrow feet, ect!. The best thing to do to find the best type of pointe shoe for your feet is when you get them fitted try on as many different pairs, of different brands and styles!. Keep in mind when you are trying them on *which is the most comfortable *Which is easiest to balance on *Which can you get over the box better on *Which one makes your feet look better, but it might be alittle hard to pick the best pair because it is your first year!.!.i know because i found out my first year that my pointe shoes weren't the best for my feet!. You will know what better for your feet as you get more experienced!. But the the person that fits your shoes should know a good shoe for your foot, and they will give you pairs to try on!.!.and they will ask you questions to find you the best shoes they can!. I think my fitting took about an hour!.!.and i think thats an average time!. I would reccomend using lambs wool toe pads because they will let you feel the floor and they are the best toe pads to get for your first year!. Dont get gel toe pads because you cant feel the floor and they are for more experienced dancer!. But your fitter will also tell you about toe pads!. Gel ones are more comfortable but they dont build the callouses that you need for pointe!. Callouses will make your skin tougher and make pointe hurt less!. If you have any questions you can ask your teacher or any of the older girls at your studio that have take pointe for a couple years!. Have funn getting pointe shoes!.!.and good luck in pointe!!! ?

Okay!. The best way to find the best pair of first pointe shoes is to go to the dance store near you and ask the expert on shoes to help you out and try some different fittings!. We can't really tell you on the internet because it depends a lot on your feet: the shape, the size, the strength of the arch, the amount your foot arches, etc!.

Toe pads!. If your feet are very insensitive to pain, the best way to go is to get lambs wool!. However, most dancers that are new to pointe don't really realize how much it hurts until they go en pointe!. I would suggest jelly pads!. There are ones that cover your toes and part of your feet!. There are half sized ones!. There are jelly pads for toes only!. If your toes tend to cross each other, you need jelly spacers!.

The best ones I've tried are the jelly pads that are half sized!. You need to tell the person fitting your shoes what type of padding you're going to wear in your shoes so that he/she can get a size that will fit not just your feet but both your feet and the padding!.

The best shoe I've worn are Chacott Veronese!. My arches are very weak and the hard shanks are even pretty pliable!. They last pretty long for me and the box has more surface area where it touches the ground than the other shoes I've worn!. I used to wear Bloch Suprimas and I was happy with them, but my feet changed shape!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You need to get fitted into a pointe shoe by a professional!. It is hard to know what will work with your feet when you have never gone up on pointe!. As far as toe pads are concerned it is a trial and error process!. My daughter switches from an ouch pad to lambs wool!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

My first pair were capezios, but I didn't end up liking them very much because they had practically no padding inside the shoe!.

I love gaynor minden's!. That would be my recommendation!. They are amazing!

For toe pads!.!.I use bunheads ouch pouches!.

But I've heard that gel pads work well too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

well you should ask your teacher but most people believe you should start out with a very hard shoe because it will help your feet get stronger and also that will make every shoe after feel softer then it really is so blocks and copezios are really good starter shoes =^!.!.^=Www@QuestionHome@Com

go to the store try them all out and see which one suites you best!. everyone is different and has different preferences so just see what you like!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
