Question: Ballet Bun Help!!!!!
Hi Everyone!

I do ballet and I was wondering how to do a perfect ballet bun!. I usually just wear it in a weird bun/ponytail thing because I can never seem to get it in a bun!. My hair is a little below shoulder length and very wavy!. Thanks!

okay this is what I do

1:wet hair condition it and leave a little in so it's really easy to work with

2:brush hair get all the knots out and make it smooth i like my bun to be straight back but Lot of people like there's parted so part it or make it straight back

3:then put hair in rubber band and brush the pony tail

4:coil you pony tail in a bun

5:pin the bun in place so it won't fall out in class

6:put hair net on the bun and then pin the left over part of the hair net in you bun so no one can see it

7:spray hair spray and put extra pins and clips in for all the bubbles and the stray hairs

8:go to class happy because you have a real ballet bun in =^!.!.^=Www@QuestionHome@Com

I know how you feel, I could never get them quite right until very recently!. Get some bobby pins, hair ties and hairspray, plus a bun cover if you have one!.

First gather your hair into a high ponytail, and start twisting it!. This is the most important part, just hold on the the ponytail and start rotating until you have the whole thing twisted up!. Then wrap it around the base of the ponytail and put bobby pins in to hold it in place!. Then put plenty of hairspray on it to keep it in place!. If you have a bun cover, put that on too- if not, I would suggest purchasing one, they aren't necessary but very handy in keeping buns in place, and if your bun is far from perfect like mine always are it hides all the messy hairs!. xPWww@QuestionHome@Com

Hello!.

I am a full time dancer at The Australian Ballet in Melbourne, and they are very strict there with what we do with our hair!.!.!.

To do a perfect ballet bun!.

1) Put your hair into a ponytail in the middle of your hair!.

2) Slick it back very well with gel and hairspray!.

3) Twist it around, pressing it flat at the same time!.

4) Keeping one hand on you bun so it stays in place, put a hair net
around it!. You get these from the chemist in many different colours
to suit your hair!. If it is a big hair net, wrap it around the bun twice!.

5) Get some hair pins, NOT BOBBY PINS, and pin heaps into the bun
but making sure that they don't stick out the otherside, but if they
do, don't worry too much!!

6) Spray it with firm hairspray, and if any bits are sticking out, get
some bobby pins, NOT HAIRPINS, and pin them back firmly into
your hair so they don't fall out during class!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First wet hair completely, make part in hair if necessary, make low ponytail and gel and spray top of head!. Then twist ponytail and swirl it around on head to make bun, tie with another hair tie!. Then Put on a hair net and have lots of pins, gel and spray!. Add fake hair to finish the look and wellahh! Www@QuestionHome@Com

1!. Put hair in ponytail

2!. Using hairpins ( preferably the wide ones; not bobby pins) pin ponytail down while twisting hair around into a bun

3!. Wrap hair net aroun bun

4!. Add a few pins to keep net in place

That's how my friend's mom would fix our hair and it never came out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

since your hair is wavy, it'll work better if you wet it first!. so first do that and then put it in a pony tail wherever you want your bun to be!. then twist your pony tail or braid it the best you can!. it's okay if little pieces of hair come loose!. then wind the braided or twisted hair around the pony tail holder and as you do that, use bobby pins to hold it in placeonce you've done all that and you have no more hair to wind around, take a hair net (as close to your hair color as possible) and put that over your bun!. i use regualar sized hair nets and then double them up!. then put in a few more bobby pins to keep the hair net on and that's it! !.!.if you want to, you can hairspray it to keep all the little stray hairs in!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Do your hair back into a tight ponytail!. When it's in the ponytail, twist it and then wrap it around to make the bun shape (hard to explain but I hope you get the gist)!. Then stick a few pins in it!. Put a hair-net over that and put a trillion more pins there!.
My hair's like yours, and if I want mine to stay, I have to use fifteen pins at the least :[ Sad fact of life!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
