It's so confusing!. Right pirouette: Your left leg is supporting, and your right leg is up!. You turn to the right!. Left pirouette: Right leg is supporting, and you turn left!. The way I remember it is when you're preparing, make an "L" with your hand that's in front!. If it makes an L, you turn left, and if it's a backwards L, you turn right!. When in doubt, turn towards your leg that's in passe!. Ex: if your right leg is up, you turn right, and vice-versa!.
