there is no "best types" fro pre pointe!. theres only a "best type" for your foot!. when you go and get your pointe shoes fitted!.!.!.they should tell you about how you should feel on pointe and then you'll understand and pick the perfect pair!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

You should talk to your teacher because she/he knows your abilities best!. They should be able to recommend a good brand for you!. You should also search your area for dance store that sell pointe shoes and try on different brands!. Make sure that whoever is fitting you is certified to do so!.
I personally prefer Gaynor Minden pointe shoes because they last the longest, look the best, and you don't have to fight with them too much!. These were my very first shoes and they were wonderful!. However, there are different strength shanks and as a beginner go for a medium or hard shank!. Soft ones are for more advanced dancers and do not provide as much support!.

Hope this helped! Good luck and have fun! =)

I would recommend gaynor minden's!. I can't exactly describe how great they are!. You almost just need to try some pairs on for yourself and see what I mean!. : )
