Well, every dancer is different, so we can't tell you exactly what you need!. But you need to make sure that you get a good kind because you will become the best dancer you can be if you are comfortable while dancing!. You should probably start out with lamb's wool pads or Ouch Pouches Jr!./Ouch Pouches!. DO NOT get the gelly pads!. Everyone else will get them, and they will be more comfortable!. But don't get them because you will not be able to feel the floor!. It is important to be stable while you are dancing, especially in your first pair of pointe shoes!. The lamb's wool and Ouch Pouches allow you to do that!. Sure, they will hurt more, but they will build up your feet and you will progress on pointe much more quickly!.
I hope I helped! Good luck and have fun on pointe! <3 :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

tape your toes and use lambs wool toe pads!. Trust me!. People are going to say get gel toe pads!.!.and yes they are more comfortable!. But they aren't good for your first year of pointe!. For your first year of pointe you are going to need to feel the floor, and find your balance, and you will get callouses, and make your feet tought, which is what you want!. so then it wont hurt as much!. You cant feel the floor in gel toe pads!. And have funn pointe it's awesomee!! ?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would us lambs wool and tape your toes, do not get gel pads, as you will not be able to feel the floor, and that is really important when you first start dancing on pointe!.
My teacher at my ballet school wouldn't let us use anything when we first started dancing, it hurt at first but it definatley hardened our feet, the only thing i do know is tape my toes if they our blistered, or if i have a long rehersal i will use some lambs wool!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would recommend the gel ones!. You dont want to have too much padding, cause then your toes will end up weak, but then too little will really hurt and when you are not trained for pointe, it could hurt you!. I started off with material padding and lambs wool!. But then a couple of years later switched to the gel padding and it was so much better!.
Good Luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

there are various types of gel pads that you can order that come in different sizes depending on how much of your toes you want to be covered!.

Personally, I prefer to use bunheads ouch pouches!. Those work really well!.!.!.and prevent blistering!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
