Question: How to start dancing competitively!? Am I too old to start!?
I'm 16 going on 17 and I've been wanting to start dancing for years!.

Am I too old to start dancing competitively!? My parents aren't supportive of this so I'm all on my own!. Do I just go sign up at a studio or something!? How much is it usually per class!?

Thanks!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Can't hurt to try!. If you have never danced before it might be hard to just start competing!. But call, or go to a dance studio and ask about cometition!. But I wouldn't wait that long!. I know my dance studio has audtitions for the competition teams, and our auditions are next week, because the competition dancers start before the regular ones!. But competition can get pretty expensive!.!.you have to pay for classes (at my studio you have to take all the classes) then you have to buy the costumes, and then the fees for the cometition!. As for the cost of classes!. It depends on your studio, and how long the classes are!. But go for it!.!.and good luck!! I hope you are able to compete!! ?Www@QuestionHome@Com

No I'm pretty sure you're not too old to start!. I'm actually going to ask if I can be placed in the competition classes at my studio :) I was worried that they wouldn't let me because I'm going to be 15 but I just realized that there shouldn't be an age limit!. Go to a studio and when you sign up, ask to be placed in a class that competes!.

Good luck! :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes, go sign up at a studio
as for cost, it really depends on the studio and how much they charge for classes, how much the costumes are, entry fees for the competitions, etc!.
it is never too late to start dancing!.!.!. i was just at a national dance competition, and there were 40-somethings competing!.
good luck with your dancing! =]Www@QuestionHome@Com

just to be honest i dont think theyll put you in a competition class right away if youve never danced before!. but maybe after a year if you work really hard!. im 16 now and at first i went to a horrible studio and i hardly learned anything!. but i joined a new dance studio and after a year i was able to be on the team!. but your definately not too old to compete!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
