Question: I need to be able to the splits in 1 month!?
ok don't ask why but i do!. i am a girl and i have been giong downa s far as i can everyday!. do you have any tips!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

A good trick that got me to do the splits!.!.!.

get 2 piles of pillows that are the same height!.!.!.one for each leg!.!.put one leg on one and the other on the other pile and sit there till it doesnt hurt!.!.!.make the pile as high as you need to be comfortable!.!.!.watch tv or something then once it doesnt hurt anymroe!.!.!.pull one pillow out!.!.!.this makes you go down slowly and you can do it while reading, watching tv or doing homework!.!.!.

stretch for 30 minutes each day!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!. you HAVE to stretch every day if you want your splits in a month!.
i sit in my splits when i watch TV, and this has helped me a lot!
remember to do other stretches too (not just your splits) such as lunges and touching your toes while sitting down!.
also, to help with your middle splits put your butt up against a wall while lying down and spread your legs as far as they can go!.
hold each stretch for at lesast 30 seconds, or longer if u can!
and make sure to warm up before u stretch, and to stop if u feel a lot of pain!.

Do all the stretches you know, everyday!. Always be trying to improve (like if your back is rounded, try to get it flat)!. Some stretches that work well: Straddle (^), Put your head on your knees (or as far down as you can go with a straight back) while your legs look like : ( | | ) , and lunge!. also, while your in lunge, set your back knee down and put your weight over your foot while straightening your front leg!. ( I hope that made sense!)

Be sure to hold each stretch for at LEAST 15 full seconds!. And when you go down in the splits hold it for at least 20 and even longer if you can!. ( I try to strive for 35-40)

I'm learning how to do a split to!I have 3 easy steps

1!. Stretch one leg on the top bar and do exercise then use the other leg
2!. At the end of those exercises use your left hand to hold your left leg in a plie` and then stretch out both and hold it for 10 secs!.Do this with the other leg with your right hand
3!.Then when your done with those exercises try your split with all 3 sides and hold it for as long if you can and when it hurts stop,relax and try again

P!.S!. Make sure you do many lunges and plenty of exercises too!If do these thing for about half an hour you'll be sure to do a split

the usual "stretch every day"

but also make sure you point your toes and keep your legs straight!. if you dont do these things, especially pointing your toes, it can do some damage to your legs!.

also you could try to reach for your toes without being in the splits, either by just reaching down to your toes or stradling and stretching left/right individually!. this way you work on both legs by themselves and all the stretching goes to one leg at a time!. one thing my coach suggests is do homework or watch tv or whatever in a stradle!. it doesnt have to be the splits, just straddle as far as you can!. this way, you have something else to think about & distract you, plus you can get more flexible even when you're just sitting around being lazy :]Www@QuestionHome@Com

For a straddle, this is the best thing that helped me & it's so easy!

Get a flat wall & lay on your back, with your butt as close to the wall as possible!. Spread your legs as far as you can (as if you were doing the splits)!. Hold this position for one minute, and then release!. Do it again & really try to feel the stretch!.

just stretch in every weay imagionable haha try anything and if ity feels like a stretch then it is :)

also after stretchin stay in the splits for 2 mins!.!.!.hard i know but yooh only have 1 month! use your hands to support you also but make sure that you dont put all of your weight on your hands cause that would b cheatin lol!.

My split is flat, and what I did to get it there, was stretched every day for twenty minutes!.
Honestly I dont know why!. But I would sit in my almost split for twenty minutes!. It really hurts but it helps get you there!. Hahaha, maybe that's just me!? I don't know, but that's what I did!. Hope I helped somehow!. Haha :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

you shuld do them every day for a minute at least time yourself for 30 secs!. then go down a little bit further each time because the muscles will loosen up after that amount of time aloowing you to go furtherWww@QuestionHome@Com
