I am a cheerleader at my school and for the longest time i couldn't either! So i tryed jumping of my bed I did and I can do it better than any girl on my entire squad!. No lie! If you are tall and can't do it off your bed then try a raised surface that you can jump off of and do a toe touch!. oh!.!. and when you try out be a peppy as you can be!. Good Luck!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is coming from someone who has won awards for the toue touch!. :)
The first part is that you have to be flexible enough to get it high when you jump!. Yeah, it might not be the answer you want to hear but the key is to STRETCH!. What you do is sit down with your legs in the position of a toe touch, you can start standing if you can't sit in it yet, then have someone push you all the way down!. Not hard, just gently!. You shouldn't be able to sit in it completely right away, you have to do this over and over!.
Lastly, the trampoline exercise that lady mentioned will help you get used to the height and will give you more bounce to practice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

first of all, STRETCH STRETCH STRETCH!!! You will never get better jumps if you don't increase your flexibility!. If you can get down into a split, great!! It's one of the best ways to stretch your hamstrings!. Trampolines are great to practice on, but beware because you won't have that bounce when you do them normally, and if you use the trampoline too much, you might get disappointed that your feet don't touch your ears when you do the toe touch on land!. One of the best ways i practice is getting up on demi pointe and kicking one leg at a time as high as i can while doing the jump prep!. the demi pointe makes it feel like you are slightly off the ground and kicking one leg at a time makes it easier to learn to rotate your hips as well!. Hope this helps and hope you make the team!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

well on count one go on ur tip toes and then on two u go down so ur feet are still together and ur wrists are crossed and ur knees and then on three u use all ur energy to jump high and then spred ur legs apart and then on four you land and bring ur arms in a high VWww@QuestionHome@Com

I have been helping my daughter work on her jumps by practicing on the trampoline and by holding her waist to spot her while she is jumping and she seems to be getting better by practicing like thatWww@QuestionHome@Com
