Question: Can anyone help me do the splits!?!?!? PLEASE!!?!?!!?
Okay, i want to do the splits really bad! I've been attemping, and so far im about 10 inches from the ground, and i wanna do it full!.!.!. 0 inches in a week or two!. any help would be nice!?!?!? =]

Please require how long and what did u do PLEASE!!? =]

Stretch every day!. When you first get up stretch for 20-30 minutes (touch your toes and practice going as far down as you can)!. Around lunch time stretch for 45 minutes to an hour doing the same things!. At night stretch for at least an hour and doing different things!. Any excercises work that stretch your leg muscles!. Good Luck! O ya and by doing this routine is how i learned the splits in six - eight days!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well I got the splits all three ways at the age of 6!. That's because I'm a dancer!. So I am going to tell you the same thing that got me to do them: stretch!. Arms, legs, back, wrists!. The splits has more to it than just your legs!. Stretch everything in your body for about 20 mintues!. Start out with easy stretching, then increase the intensity! You can also do push ups and chrunches if you want to!. They really can help!.
Muscles are a big part of the splits!.

Once you feel loosened up, go ahead and get into your splits!. Try left splits first, then right!. It's obviously okay if you don't touch the ground!. Bounce yourself a little bit!. It will get you even more stretched out!. Always remember to hold the position for a LONG time, so you get used to it!.

Once you have done all this, stand up and shake it all out!. Go back into the splits a few more times and bounce also!.

Do this everyday for a while and you will get more and more flexible!. also remember that having straight legs and pointed toes makes it 10x easier :)

Before stretching, warm up!!! Start out with some light stretching, and gradually increase!. Touch your toes, lunges, lay on your back and pull each of your legs toward your face (keeping your legs straight), etc!. Then, gently go down into the splits, and gradually go lower as your feel comfortable!. Go as low as possible without hurting yourself!. If you feel extreme pain, then stop, for the sake of your health!. Put effort into your stretching, but at the same time, maintain safe limits!. Know your boundaries, because if you are injured, then you will lose progress!. Hold each split for at least 30 seconds!. Great distractions are listening to music that you love (and motivates you), or simply watching TV!.

Remember to breathe while you stretch! This is very important, as it helps you relax your muscles and makes stretching more efficient and comfortable!. What has helped me is doing the splits several times in one stretching session!. For example, right, left, center!.!.!.!.and repeat again, and one more time, holding each split for around 30 seconds!. You may notice that you go lower each time!.

I have my right split and are still working on my left, What I do is watch TV and during the commercials I strech my split until the show comes back, watch the show, than reapet!. You could also flip this around and strech during the show take a break at the commercials!. Just keep streching it and you'll get there! But don't strech it to hard or you'll pull a muscle!

just spend about a half and hour a day streching your legs and practice your splits and when you watch TV sit in a stradal well thats my addvise!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
