How to sew ballet slippers?

Question: How to sew ballet slippers!?

I know how to put the elastic on straight across but the slippers I just got are meant to be crossed!. I know you sew one end of each elastic to the back but I don't know where on the side to sew the other sideWww@QuestionHome@Com

There is usually a side seam on each side of the shoe, near the arch!.

Sew the front ends of the elastic against the rear edge of the side seam!.

Sew the back ends of the elastic so they are just slightly behind the ankle bone when the shoe is on!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

1!.) put the shoes on and safety pin the elastics on the shoes in a criss cross pattern

2!.)if the elastics feel secure and tight then sew them on

3!.) one end of the elastics should be around the heel and the other end should be around the middle of your foot- but just sew them wherever looks good and feels good for your foot!.!.or you can use the picture as a guide

*tips from me

* make sure you dont sew in the drawstring casing!.!.so that the thread doesnt interfere with the drawstrings

*sew the elastics on the inside

*well ive never actually sewn elastics on my shoes because i have a performance pair and a class pair (my performance pair are sewn on and i didnt sew them my teacher did) and i usually just tie the elastics because the elastics on my shoes are partly already sewn on!.!.but i do sew them on my pointe shoes and i use floss!.!.the one that doesnt have wax on it and it works good!.!.!.it stays sewn!.!.so im guessing you could use it on ballet shoes too
