Question: What are some modern dance genres!.!?

I would like to learn dance!. I'm 16, male!.

I'm after something modern but I don't really know any dance genres!. Can you please give me a list of some dance genres!.

Popping, Locking of the hip hop genre are the most popular now besides Break dancing!. And they look really cool!.

The good thing is, you wouldn't have to get down to the floor to do Popping and Locking unlike Break dancing!. =)Www@QuestionHome@Com

here are all (well, a good # of) the dance genres/ styles that are currently popular:

street: hip hop, krump, popping, locking
ballroom: pretty much everything!.!.!. think SYTYCD, tango, rhamba, salsa, ect!.
abstract: moder, contemporary
theatrical: jazz, tap, character

these are the main style you will see at dance competitions ect!.
