Question: Whats wrong with my knee!? only ballet dancers answer!. please help easy 10 pointes!?
so im 13 years old, i ama ballerina and i have been working on my turnout for 4 weeks now, this past week i have been feeling something i dont know if its pain, or if it just feels weird, but the feelings in both knees, and under the knee cap, and on the side of the knee!. what is wrong with it!? and how can i heal it!? its not swollen or anything, and if it was i take tumric in tea!. ewww but it works!. And i have been doing the butterfly and frog positons!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Your knee is getting too worked out, put some Arnica or Bengay on it, and it'll clear up in a few hours!.

maybe when you dance you are turning out form the knee rather then your hip!? if not you might have just strained you knee doing all the excersices!. you should try icee hot patches!. you can get them at any drug store!. I use them whenever my knees get sore after dance classesWww@QuestionHome@Com

well truthfully u should go to a chiropractor, but i think you just over worked ur knees and u need to give ur exercises a rest for a few dayhs to a week but i think a chiropractor would help u alot!Www@QuestionHome@Com

there are these possibilities:
1!. you are overworking your knee!. you might want to tone it down a bit!.
2!. Osgood-Schlatter disease!. but there would be a bump underneath it, depending on how long this has been happening!. take a look at this website: http://familydoctor!.org/online/famdocen/!.!.!.
and if you dont have the time to do the rice thing, just take prewrap, or a large, but not too big, hair tie, and wrap it around your knee!. it should be just under the knee cap so that its pushing it up!. and make sure it is tight but not so tight that its cutting off your circulation!.
3!. you are simply growing!.

if you dont think any of this is whats happening to you, see a doctor!. he/she will be able to tell you what is happening for sure!. but you should probably go anyway!. just be prepared for them to say you will hav to take a break, which im sure you cant do!.
also, the butterfly is okay, but dont overdo your frogs!. cause that puts a huge strain on your knee!. when your in first position, do not make it a perfect line!. it will "kill" you!. stand in sixth, and naturally slide your feet to first!. that is where you should be!. good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
