learning switch leaps would probably need someone to show you!. it also depends on what kind of switch leaps you are doing!.
to do a basic switch leap (left leap, which switches to a right):
first, you take off from your right foot!. you can run to get into the leap if you want, but make sure your taking off from the right foot!.
once you jump, in the beginning, it should feel like a regular left leap, until when your leg reaches around 35-45 degrees, when you should push it back into a right leap!.
once you have the basics, don't become frustrated if you don't get it right away!. it takes work!. also, once you have the motion in your muscle memory, don't overthink the leap!. let it come naturally once you know what your doing!.
some technique tips for when your in the leap:
-if you bend your knees slightly before taking off, it is easier to get higher in the leap!.
-once you swing back into your right leap, your right leg and left leg should be evenly split!. some dancers make the mistake of raising their front leg higher than the back leg!.

you kinda need someone to show you but it first depends on how you are gonna go into the leap!. but to make it simple (this is if your doing a switch leap on your right) you would step on your right foot, brush your left leg about 40 degrees and then you switch the left leg back with alot of power!. thats the best i can explain it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
