Question: Pointe Shoe Recommendation!?
Hi, i used to wear Russian Pointe Dolce but my teacher says she dosent like the tapered box, even thought RP says it is a wide box, i have wide feet so it looks tapered!. She told me to try Capezio, Sansha or Bloch shoes, and before i went to the store to get fitted i wanted to hear some honest opinions about the brands or even certian styles that might/mightnot work for me!. Oh by the way, i have really strong feet and my box and shank for my Russians didnt last long and i had the hardest it comes in!. Thank you in advanceWww@QuestionHome@Com

Sansha might work welll for you!. I have noticed them to be flattering to wider feet!. HTye have a nice wide box, and of course they have "whisper toe" which make them quieter!. A big plus!.

I have wide feet and high arches!. I use Gamba 93, they have a nice wide platform, but dont look bulky!. They have a carbon fiber shank (wont break easily) and nice box strength!. When I started using them (about 13 years ago) my teacher (who is notoriously picky about shoes) said "those are nice shoes, what are they!?" I've used them ever since!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The Capezio Glisse is a great shoe, as is the Nicolini (if your feet are narrower)!. I always have to get the extra-strong shank because my arches are very high!. I wasn't crazy about the Bloch--it takes forever to break them in, and once you do, they're shot--but some of my friends swear by that shoe!. I think it's really different for everyone!. If you have a dance store in your city, you can usually go in and ask for the salesperson's opinion!. They're often trained for that sort of thing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I had pointe shoes from Capezio that lasted for 2 years!. I really liked them!. My friend has some from Bloch and she likes them!. I have never had a teacher tell me to get different shoes cuz she didnt like the way they looked!. Thats really weird!. Personally I think she should of told you what she likes and doesnt like on feet so you dont go and spend money one pair and then have to turn around and do it all over again!. Ballet shoes takes for ever to wear in and make it feel right!. Good Luck!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Everybody has different feet, so you should probably go to a store that sells pointe shoes and try a bunch on for best fit!. As far as quality, I like Bloch!. But, I am kind of a newby en pointe!. One of my friends in my class bought some Grishko(sp!?) and they ripped the first time she wore them!. So, I don't recommend those!. :) Sometimes it depends on how you distribute your weight!. On a cheaper shoe, if you're not on your toes good, you'll break the box!. Anyways, good luck!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I used Russian Pointe too! I personally didn't like how they broke in, I only used them for a month or two!. Now I use Bloch's European Balance!. I really recommend them to you I think they would work for you!. I think you should ask to be fitted about these shoes, I am in love with them!!! Good Luck and I hope you find the right shoe :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

i love capezio!!! they are the only pointe shoes i will wear! i've worn capezio plie 1 and infinita! these both have wide boxes! i love them! i dont like bloch because they dont seem to fit my feet correctly and they are EXTREMELY hard!!!!! but that's just me!

hope i helped!! good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try grisko--- it had a really hard shank and box but are still really comfortable !.

I personally dont like bloch or sansha as I think they wear out too quickly!. Iv'e been on pointe for 4 years and I have used grisko for three!. They are really comfortable!!!!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
