Question: What dance classes should i stick with!?
I have been danicing since i was 2 and im on a high intermidiate level of dance!. I take 5 classes right now!. ballet tap jazz lyrical and funk!. next year im adding 2 competion classes on and my mom said i have to drop one regular class!. Her usual excuse for not letting me take more classes is because its really evpensive but Im also not making her spend thousands of dollars to send me to school anymore! i dont no what to do !! ballet will help me in every class, tap and funk are my 2 favorites and i feel like jazz will really help me in the long run!.? i want to stop lyrical and take modern but that still isnt droping one!! please tell me which one will effect me least to drop!. ( or tell me if you have any ideas of how i can convince my mom to let me take them all) !? thanksss!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, obviously stay with tap and funk!. Ballet will definitely help you so stick with that (but only if you enjoy it)!. Make sure you tell your mom that she is not paying for school anymore and she what she says!. Jazz will defintely help you in the long run and it is fun!. I think you should stop lyrical because you want to, try to take modern, but if your mom says no just take the other ones!.
Hope I Could Help!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, you should really drop jazz I dont really take jazz but I take ballet and thats one thing you cannot give upon but a good way to convince your Mother but you would have to stick with it all these years and people mostly change their dreams but you can tell her that when you become a famous dancer you will buy her a big house and fancy jewelry its probably not such a good thing to say but HEY it works for me (spoiled princess)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Go 4 them all!. How many times am I going to have to tell people this!? Look at any really good professional dancer, then ask her what styles of dance she takes, she might go on and on!. A good way to convince mom is to help pay!. Oh, how to do that!? GET A JOB!!! (LOL) Please just stay calm and reasonable (with your mom) and try to understand!. And, don't forget to actually help her pay (that WILL make her say "yes")!. I hope this helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com

well if u explain to your mum and tell her that you love doing all these dances and its your passion hopefully she'll back you up on what you want to do!. if its a money problem you could get a job or something and help pay for the classes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, if you have to take funk and tap, and you basically have to take ballet (dropping it would really hurt your technique), then that means you'd have to drop either jazz or lyrical!.!.!. I'd say stick with the one you think you're better at!. I think they're both at about the same level of helpfulness!.!.!. they both involve technique, but aren't as completely technique as ballet!. If you didn't have to take funk and tap I'd say to drop one of those, because those are less important to a dancer overall!. However, if you want to take modern, that would mean you'd have to drop lyrical and jazz, right!? If you really want to drop both of them and try something new, go ahead! But you might just want to keep taking classes in what you know you're good at!.

Hmm!.!.!. I think you should try to convince your mom to take them all before giving up entirely, lol!. Explain to her that you are saving her lots of money by now going to a public school!. Remind her of how much that cost, and how much extra money she'll have!. Tell her that it wouldn't affect her that much anyways in the long run if she stopped paying for one dance class, and she'd even have extra money from you going to public school!. :)

Hope this helps, and good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com

To me it seems like the one you would be most prepared to drop is lyrical, seeing as you said you WOULD be prepared to drop it for modern given the chance!. Funk and tap are out of the question, as is ballet!. That leaves you with 2 options - jazz or lyrical!. I was tempted to say drop jazz, because funk is a lot like jazz, but i rethought!.

You said that jazz would help you in the long run!. also that you want to drop lyrical to take modern!. Seems to me as though its more likely you would be willing to sacrifice lyrical rather than jazz!. Maybe you should drop lyrical!. This is because you already take ballet, and if you ever wanted to get back into it, you probably would find it quite easy with a strong ballet and jazz background!. If you dropped jazz, and ever wanted to go back to it, the only other training you would have had after dropping it is funk!.!.!.!. jazz has a lot more technique than funk!.!.!. So I think lyrical may be the one to drop!.

Of course it also depends on what you want to do with your future in dance, and which one you think you could excel in!. Good luck with your decision, and have fun with the dance team!Www@QuestionHome@Com
