You need to change wear your elastic is sewn!. place it so it is toward the back of the shoe near the heel so it holds it on!.

Rosin will help too!.

Ribbons don't mean squat!. They are traditional and look pretty but they do nothign to keep the shoes on so thats not your problem!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i learned this trick at convention!. i take the really thin peices of elastic and i sew it into a loop on the very back of the shoe like where the heel is and then when you tie your ribbons just put them through the loop!. that way it keeps the back of the shoe from falling off! i had a problem with that myself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

that sucks ribbons help with ur tendon!. but ribbons dont help keep the shoe on!. we spray rubbing alcohol on the heel where u see the stocking and the shoe!. right there!. not at the bottom where ur feet are!. if u cant spray rubbing alcohol then spray water!. then if u cant do that use rosin!. but ud really have to use alot of rosinWww@QuestionHome@Com

two strips of elastic that cris cross should do the trick!.

the ends start at the very back, on either side of the heel seam
then cross over your foot and the other ends are sewn around the side seams of the shoes!.

also, make sure the elastics are tight!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

CHange wear the elastic is positioned!. If it nearer the back then it will hold it firmer and try putting talcum powder in your shoes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

move the elastic further towards the leg/ankle and maybe tighten it or put an extra piece on! if this doesn't work you could sell your oppld pointe shoes and buy a new pair to a proper fit!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is hard with out ribbons!.!.!.

Maybe you could sew a second set of elastics on!.!.!. make one tighter than the other!.
also be sure that the strings are good and tight!.!.!.not so tight you are hurting your foot though!.

Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
