Question: I need hairstyle ideas for a fast east coast swing showcase!?

I have medium length hair but need some ideas on how to style it for an upcoming showcase!. I'm not going to be wearing a typical swing costume (no swirly skirt or dress)!.!.!.it's more of a latin dress with a slant cut, so I can't be wearing pig tails or anything like that LOL!. Well, you could always do the ever-classic bun, but you'd have to make sure you pinned it REALLY well!. Another hairstyle that can be both cute and sexy, and would probably work really well, is a pomp at the front into a low ponytail, and then just curl the ponytail!.
