I would avoid buying online as much as possible!. Could you try your local dancewear shop instead!? If you absoloutely must buy from Discount Dance then I reccommend the following:

http://www!.discountdance!.com/frame_set!.p!.!.!.
http://www!.discountdance!.com/frame_set!.p!.!.!.

Both are Bloch and they make a lovely sound!. I think Bloch makes the best tap shoes and they are the loudest!.

If you are wanting Capezio then I would go with this shoe:

That shoe is usually for more advanced tappers!.

I also like this Paul Wrights tap shoe:

Remember that its not always the shoe that makes the loudest noise, its usually the force that you put behind it!.

I hope this helps :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Most teachers prefer a certain kind (if you still dance at a studio) so check with them first!.
The shoes we currently use are : http://www!.discountdance!.com/frame_set!.p!.!.!. (Leo)
They are the loudest ones I've ever used!. also, they make very crisp sounds and can be used for anything!.!.!.(toestands, wings, drawbacks, basic shuffles or filaps!.!.!.!.etc!.!.!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

I wear slip-on Capezio tap shoes, I think they are very comfortable!.!.!. just wear socks or tights because the backs can give you blisters!.
(It is the 12th one down on the link I posted above!.)
I especially like them since there is no buckle to worry about and they are also really easy to go up on your toes, unlike the buckle kind of tap shoes i've had before!. They are also easy to tap in because the middle part is flexible!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

definitely don't get the leo slip on's-they give you really bad blisters & are uncomfortable; i wouldn't get mary janes; i use bloch shockwave-i've had them for years and refuse to buy new ones-they're really comfortable and make a clear, sharp sound!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I swear by Teletones (Capezio)!. They make a crisp sound and wear really well!.
Hope that helps!Www@QuestionHome@Com
