Question: Pointe shoes!.!.!.!?
i have three different kinds of pointe shoes, none of which i think fit properly but im not sure!.

grishko 2007s and Bloch serenades both support me fine but when i pose onto pointe i dont get over enough, no matter how hard i break them in

gaynor mindens (the second hardest type) i get onto pointe perfectly but i get bruised toenails , which may be because it doesnt support me!. i dont go over too far on these though (the vamp is considerably lower on these)

my feet are strong but the arch isnt high!.!.!.

should i get the hardest type of gaynor mindens, or blochs with a lower vamp!? im not quite sure whats wrong with each shoe!.!.!.

please please help it is very annoying!.!.

p!.s i was fitted in a shop for all of these dont ask me to go back lolWww@QuestionHome@Com

my dance friend has the same problem!. she got the soft shanked gaynor mindens and they hurt her toes and arch badly! my dance teacher told her to go back and get the hard shanked gaynors which support her much better!. it all depends on your foot!. :]Www@QuestionHome@Com

it sounds like the gaynor mindens are the best for you - i like the grishko 2007s personally but they aren't wide enough for my feet and blochs are just way too hard!. if ur toenails are being bruised cut them (it sounds rude & disgusting, but I used to have the same exact problem but u have to keep them shorter than normal otherwise u get bruised toenails!.) so i don't want to tell u wut to do but it sounds like the gaynor mindens are the best for you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well i think you need to find a new shop as they obviously were not fitted properly!. I couldn't possibly tell you without seeing them on you but if you live anywhere near the South West of England go to Dancewell in Bristol!. My daughter goes there now and has had no problemsWww@QuestionHome@Com

you should never dance in pointe shoes that don't fit properly!. If you can't buy a completely new pair then i would go with the blochs!. bruised toenails can effect you for life!. I wear Bloch Sonatas and they work beautifully!.

I used to wear Grisko 2007s, I sink really badly in Serenades, and my studio doesn't let us wear Gaynor Mindens for class!. If none of them fit properly, you should try some other pointe shoes!Www@QuestionHome@Com
